Leadership | Monday Motivation With Brian Kazungu

“A rare ability to see the good and the bad in everyone and making use of the good in a way that overshadows the bad, makes you good leader.”- Brian Kazungu

Management generally means the planning, organizing, leading, directing, coordinating and controlling of resources in an environment for the common good of a given setting.

Everybody on earth is a leader and a manager of his own personal life and destiny.

As such, because you are a leader, you should therefore possess a rare ability of objectively recognizing the positives and negatives of others in any setting.

You must note that every person has got his or her own strengths and weaknesses.

It is the strengths of every individual that must be emphasized and be promoted so that the combined effect of the strengths of everybody in society can be felt.

Analyze the extremes and assess whether using and emphasizing on the good side of an individual can outweigh their bad side for the good of the person and the society as whole.

This principle can be used in choosing friends, business partners and even in managing or leading a group.

When the exposure of wrong is not malicious, there must also be an attempt to also highlight the good side of others as well.

Sometimes more of the wrong side of an individual is seen when society does not set itself to appreciate the positive side of others.

Celebrating and promoting the strengths of others than just looking at their weaknesses has got an automatic ripple effect towards creating a stable and progressive society.

It is therefore necessary for you as a leader to possess this open-mindedness for the good of your life, the company/organisation, the community and even for the good of the state.a) Is there anyone that you believe is managing his or her personal life in a good way? What is that person doing and how is he/she doing that?b) Is there anyone you believe is a good manager or leader? Why do you think of this person in such a way?

b) Have you ever tried to appreciate that individual’s goodness in person? Please do that if you can!

c) Pray for the person so that he or she can keep up the good work.

1Timothy 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. KJV

Wonderful Tomorrow – Monday MotivationWithBrian Kazungu

The wonderful tomorrow which I am living now makes me fail to recognize the challenges of today.” – Brian Kazungu

Life is very rewarding to the visionaries because they always have the privilege to preview the future while they are still living in the present.

Those that have a vision of a better future and work towards achieving their goals always have the picture of how the future will look like.

In this life, most of the projects that people get involved in are very demanding and straining to start, manage and to complete.

However, it is the vision of the complete product or end result that makes people to work hard and forbear the present challenges.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before :14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. KJV

For example, when a person is saving some money for buying a house or a car, he or she forgoes a lot of other things that could have been bought by that money at that time.

This is because the imagination of living in that house or driving that car usually outweighs the desire to spend the money on something else today.

When this car or house is finally paid for, it will just make the occupation or driving more real even though the person was already enjoying these assets in the mind.

If you do not have a vision for the future, you are most likely to always make abrupt decisions that will affect you when tomorrow comes.

The failure to see the future in advance steals away the urge to move ahead and to face life head-on.

Quite often, if you do not imagine the future, you are generally prone to stress over trivialities.

A wonderful tomorrow is always possible but however it needs the planning, execution and discipline.

Do not just see the future today but do something about it today as well.

Lacking regard for tomorrow will make the future look and sound cruel since it will directly respond to the decisions that you make today.

For this tomorrow to come loaded with the gifts, presents and rewards that it has been known to offer, you must surely start to see and act upon it today.

Reflectionsa) Write down a prospect that you believe will change your life for good.b) What are you doing about it today?c) Present it before God for help and blessing

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. KJV

Creating A Wonderful World | Monday Motivation With Brian Kazungu

Published

Every individual on earth has a positive side that needs to be cherished and to be appreciated so that their gifts, talents, and goodness can be activated for the common good of all.

Some people in our communities have gone bad because there seems to be nobody who appreciates them when they do good and yet everybody seems to pay attention when they do wrong.

People, regardless of their circumstances, need to be acknowledged for their effort and potential. This ignites the goodness in them towards creating a wonderful world for all.

When the sum total of people’s goodness, including gifts and talents are promoted and put to use, most of the problems and challenges being faced by humanity will be solved.

It is however unfortunate that some people’s gifts and talents are being suppressed because of their low esteem and their goodness is never sustained because of lack of appreciation.

Every person’s ability is meant to solve the inadequacies of others and thus when such abilities are not given exposure; there are challenges that will remain unsolved.

Different people have different gifts that are meant to be solutions to different problems in life.

When such gifts and talents are put to good use, almost every individual will have a role to play in creating a positive society for the good of all.

Effort should therefore be put from the family level up to the societal level to identify and celebrate the good and positive side in others no matter their personality.

This helps to ensure that the problem solving potential of our society is enhanced and that developmental ideas are not suppressed.

Reflections

  1. Write or list the names of the people that you believe have discovered their gifts and are making a living out of it.
  2. Write down the names of those people who you believe have their talents suppressed by low esteem, lack of recognition and support.
  3. Do whatever you can to support and promote that talent or gift or just to appreciate God’s blessing upon those people.
  4. Pray for them so that their gifts and talents will be put to good use.

The Unique Partnership | Monday Motivation With Brian Kazungu

Published

You definitely need unique partners to keep you company in navigating the ever changing terrain of life.

This is because you may be discouraged from pursuing a positive cause or your goals if you realize that those around you are not prepared to support your ideas and celebrate your achievements.

So, be always on the lookout for the people who gives you a sense of togetherness and companionship in what you do.

The presence of others who have a similar urge and determination like yours will give you the strength not just to rise up and act but to also fly high and shine in the sky.

The thought of knowing that there are other people who are determined to do good just like you in this life gives you the strength to carry on.

It makes you to realize that you are not alone in the quest to make this world a better place and therefore it assures you that your combined efforts will make a difference.

It is important for you to look around, recognize and partner with those with a similar inclination with you.

Always remember that your combined force and effort will be able to make a notable impact in society.

Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour 10: For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up 11: Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone 12: And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. KJV

  1. Do you know of anyone who seem(s) to share the same good cause with you? Make an effort to acknowledge and interact with the person.
  2. Do you know of a person who is doing something good in life? E.g. Charity, Personal Development etc. Try to partner them and also submit them before God.
