Big Eyes

Big Eyes

Big Eyes You Have
Wide Open Are They
But Do You See Our Plight?
We Plead With You
But Do You Have Any Empathy?

Big Ears You Have
Squeaky Clean Are They
But Do You Hear Our Cries?
You Wave Us Away Like Flies
Do You Hear Us?

Both Hands You Have
Untied Are They
But Would you Offer Me Help?
You Think I Can Manage
But Would You Care To Ask?

Big Bellies You Have
Very Full Are They
But Would You Give Us The Surplus?
We Lick Your Bins Clean
But Do You Think We Are Satisfied?

Big Brains You Have
Very Knowledgeable Are You
But Would You Share Your Wisdom?
No Man Is An Island

Solicit

 Solicit

 You solicit alms
 Like a lone calf
 You soliloquize fervidly
 My blood oozes
 I sympathize with you

 A crown of mercy
 Forged on your merciful head
 Pricks its way down
To the core of your imaginations
 And blood splatters all over

 Several days you have slept
 On a fully empty belly
 In the open chilly winter
 None of the passers-by
 Were all the more kinder

You go down on all four
 Head placed on the tarmac
Like I’m a god in flesh,
 You worship me
 Trust me, I’m no Zeus

 I try to act naturally
 Pinching myself over and over
 Wishing i could wake up
 From this déjà vu
But I’m lost in the glitter of your eye

Rosy

Rosy

 A red rose you were
Amidst the garden did I pluck you
Amongst a million did I choose you
But where has your tenderness gone?
All your beauty has withered away

Ah! Now you make me sick
I used to be lost in your aroma
 And think of nothing else
 Besides your blossoms
And the caress in my bosom
Now you just look dump and dull

 I would rather be alone
 Than be with you
My love has withered away too
 Emptiness fills my own soul
Rosy, i used to love you
But you let the sun destroy what i admired

 Can a rose be admirable?
 Without its rosiness
 You've lost your ruddiness
And your tenderness has fled from you
 Bring back your blossom
And I'll be attracted to you once again

Why Me?

 Why Me?

I sit here gazing into space
 Not a single star shines
 On my sky
The moon is thin and bloody
My thoughts get me wandering aimlessly
Why can't I fall in love?
 Why me?

I see two birds flying together
Enjoying the sweet caress of youth
There is exuberance in their every step
 They share a whisper
 And they chuckle lightly
Enjoying the rhythm to their hearts
 But it gets me wondering
 Why me?

There are a million roses out there
 But they all have thorns
I crave for a one in a million probability
But there seems to be none
 Not even a smoldering log
 Maybe I’m not very calculative
But why can't I find the answer?
 Why me?

 Everyone falls in love sometimes
 But not for me
 My knees are clean
No sign of a fall I once had
Nothing significant holds my youthful days
Yet I have always waited for the rightful time
 But it never came
 Maybe my clock is dead
 So I ask again
 Why me?
